Vitamin C is essential for our body. It is needed for many processes in our body, like tissue growth and repair, wound healing, neurotransmitter synthesis, immune system and many more. Reading about its functions in the body may convince a person to take Vitamin C supplements.
I will share the benefits of taking 1000 mg of vitamin C daily. I read that the maximum dose is 2000 mg daily for an adult. However I also read that our body only need less than 100 mg per day. Seems like 1000mg is more than enough. But it's okay. And I also read that our body do not produce vitamin C, so we have to take it daily from our daily food consumption.
After doing some testing, these are the benefits of eating 1000 mg vitamin C daily that I learned.
Smooth And Soft Hair
Vitamin C can make hair become smoother, and lighter. It feels like we just applied shampoo and conditioner on our hair. It also may solve rough hair problem.
Lesser Hair Fall
Eating Vitamin C daily may prevent hair fall problem, or reduce it. Our hair follicles may become stronger, healthier and hard to fall.
Increase in Hair Length
Vitamin C also may promote hair growth. Our hair may grow faster and longer after adding Vitamin C in our diet.
Tighter Skin
Vitamin C help in collagen production. This may result in tighter skin. Our skin may become more tight and elastic. The production of collagen also may slow down premature ageing.
Brighter Skin
Our skin may become brighter and less dull, and shines healthy and glowingly. It also helps to fade dark spots on our face.
Lesser Body Pain
Vitamin C is also an antioxidant that help protect body cell and tissue from damages caused by oxidative stress and free radicals. It also repair damaged tissues and cells in our body. This helps reduce inflammation and this may reduce body pain.
Less Stressed and Easily Calmed Down
Vitamin C is also found to be effective in reducing stress and regulate mood, and reduce depression. Stress and depression can make our skin age prematurely, and cause weight gain problem. It also can invite various diseases such as hypertension and heart problem.
There are many advantages of taking this much of vitamin C. However, I am still not sure if there is any disadvantages or danger in consuming 1000 mg vitamin C daily. It is better to consult the doctor before consuming any supplements.
